Transition to CHS South Guide 2024
Friday 1st March 2024 - National Offer Day
Manchester City Council will send confirmation offers for places to start in September 2024.
CHS South will also be in contact via email, so keep an eye out!
Thursday 7th March 2024 – Deadline for Accepts/Declines
This is the deadline for parents/carers to inform CHS South whether they accept or decline the place for their child in September 2024. Parents/carers receive their invite to do this online via the email submitted to the local authority when applying for the place.
Friday 31st May 2024 – Deadline for Data Collection
This is the deadline for parents/carers to complete the Data Collection information online. Timely submission is crucial to ensure we have the correct information ahead of the Induction Day in July and to avoid any potential delays in your child's start date with us. Parents/Carers will receive more information via email.
Tuesday 25th June 2024 (4.00pm - 4.40pm) - Getting To Know CHS South Online Quiz
Join us for an engaging and interactive experience as we embark on the journey of Getting to Know CHS South! Hosted by our dedicated Transition Team, this quiz via Teams promises to be both fun and informative. Test your knowledge, connect with fellow students, and dive deeper into what makes CHS South a vibrant community. Get ready to discover the ins and outs of our school in an exciting way!
Thursday 4th July 2024 (9.15am - 2.00pm) – Year 6 Student Induction Day
Your child will attend a taster day at CHS South, experiencing what school life is like and meeting some of their new teachers. Food will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own lunch if they prefer. Please ensure that your child wears their primary school uniform for the induction day.
Thursday 4th July 2024 (5.00pm - 6.00pm) - Year 6 Parent/Carer Induction Evening
This is your opportunity to visit the school, meet some of our team, and get your questions answered. Due to the high number of students and limited seating, we must limit guests to one per child to ensure there is enough space for everyone.
Wednesday 4th September 2024 - Students First Day at CHS South
More information will be emailed out to parents/carers in the Summer holiday.
