In the 'Documents' section, you'll find the recipe booklets for your child's Food Technology lessons. These booklets include the ingredients they need to bring from home and detailed cooking or baking instructions.
We hope students are excited about their practical lessons in food preparation and nutrition. All recipes have been thoughtfully selected and costed. Generally, students need to bring fresh ingredients, including meat or meat alternatives, from home. The school will provide additional store cupboard ingredients for a small voluntary fee, payable via Arbor under 'Payments' > 'Nutrition Ingredients.' For each practical lesson, students should bring a named apron and a container large enough to take their dish home. Fresh ingredients should be dropped off in their food classroom upon arrival at school to ensure proper storage.
If your child has any food allergies or specific dietary requirements, please inform the food tech department. If alternative ingredients are needed, we kindly ask that you provide these for the recipes.
If you need assistance in providing ingredients, please contact us at least one week in advance so we can ensure every student can participate fully in practical lessons.
