Open Days

Our Open Evening is for prospective students and their parents/carers who are interested in applying for a Year 7 place at our school for September 2025.

• Tour our school
• Meet current students and staff 
• Sample a variety of foods from our menu 
• Participate in activities from each department 
• Ask any questions you may have 
• Attend a Headteacher’s welcome session

Mr. Prophet (Headteacher) will welcome you to life at CHS South with two identical sessions. You only need to attend one: 

Session 1: 6:00pm 

Session 2: 7:00pm 

No registration is necessary; you can quickly visit at a time that suits you.

CHS South is located at 451 Mauldeth Road West, Chorlton, Manchester, M21 7SX. 

Parking is extremely limited, so we strongly recommend using public transport or walking. If you must drive, please be considerate of our neighbours and avoid parking on driveways or blocking access roads. 

Accessible parking is available for those who need it. 

A photographer will be on-site during the Open Evening. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the photographer or a member of staff.

The deadline for applications is Thursday 31st October 2024. The coordination and administration of student admissions are handled by the Local Authority, Manchester City Council. You can find our admissions policy here and more information on how to apply on our Admissions page.

National Offer Day is Monday 3rd March 2025. 

You will be notified by Manchester City Council, and CHS South will also email you to confirm whether you would like to accept or decline the place. We will use the email address provided in your application. If your contact details change, please inform us.
