At CHS South we aim to support our families as we are aware that the current climate has and still can be a challenging time. 

Whatever your situation we are here to help.

When there are early indications that things are not going well, Early Help is about engaging a child, young person, parent/carer, or family in a conversation about how to get things going well again.

Chorlton & Didsbury Foodbank Providing families with three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

The Bread And Butter Thing (TBBT) A charity that makes life more affordable for people on a low income. Our mission is to create a fair solution for people in poverty and our long-term aim is to address the premiums that people in poverty pay for food, loans, energy, and other everyday essentials simply because of their personal circumstances. 

Quids In A unique volunteer-run food club is aimed at the many households in south Manchester struggling to feed their families each week. ‘Quids In’ offers up to £15 worth of food for just a £2 weekly membership fee, which helps pay Fareshare, the charity that supplies the food. Unlike food banks, Quids In is an ongoing membership offering fresh and chilled items that can be difficult to find and expensive to buy locally. 

Excluded Offering assistance for those who need help with funding that does not have to be repaid. From Restaurants, cafes, pubs, and music venues to hairdressers. To survive and help with re-opening when you can.

At CHS South we want to support better mental health if you are worried about your child, please contact school. We have several staff who are trained Mental health first aiders on site to help staff, students, and families.
