Conduct and Rewards

At CHS South, We Uphold Three Core Values:

Be Ready

Be Respectful

Be Safe

These straightforward principles outline our expectations for how students should conduct themselves both within the school and in the local community.

We Expect Our Students to:

  • Show kindness and respect to everyone in the school community, treating others as they would like to be treated.

  • Always wear the full school uniform.

  • Walk calmly in the corridors, keeping to the left-hand side.

  • Report any instances of bullying.

  • Take responsibility for their own actions and behaviour.

  • Attend every lesson punctually and be prepared to learn.

  • Bring all necessary books and equipment to class.

  • Listen attentively and silently when others are speaking.

  • Avoid chewing gum, eating, or drinking in the classroom.

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic by putting in consistent effort.

  • Respect and take care of school and personal property.

  • Keep mobile phones out of sight and turned off during the school day.

  • Dispose of litter properly by using the bins provided.

  • Leave valuable items at home.

  • Act in a manner that reflects positively on CHS South, both during term time and holidays.

  • Understand and follow the rewards and consequences system at CHS South.

At CHS South, we pride ourselves on excellent behaviour, high standards, and recognising outstanding conduct. However, when a student does not meet these expectations, we apply a structured consequence system, known as "The C System."
