CHS South Welcomes Our New Head Students!

We are thrilled to announce our newly appointed Head Students for the academic year. This dynamic group of three outstanding individuals embodies the values of Ready, Respectful, Safe and will play a vital role in representing the voice of our student body. As the first-ever triumvirate of student leaders, they are already making history and will help to further strengthen our school community.

“Being a Head Student would be an honour; it is not just about being an ambassador for the school—it is about being an advocate and a voice for students and our school community."

The Head Students were chosen following a rigorous selection process and will serve as the voice of their peers, advocating for student perspectives and contributing to decision-making at the highest levels. As elected members of the Senior School Council, they will attend meetings of the school’s Full Governing Body and provide feedback to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and parents, ensuring that student representation is central to the school’s development.

“Compassionate, intelligent, confident, and approachable; these are all essential qualities in a leader, and I am proud that teachers, friends, and fellow students see these qualities in me.”

Their responsibilities extend far beyond these meetings. The Head Students work closely with the Champions Council, leading efforts to enhance school life through exciting campaigns, supporting key events such as the Year 5 & 6 Transition Evening, and taking part in important projects like Digital Safety Week assemblies and community initiatives. They also play a hands-on role in shaping school policies, consulting on improvements to facilities, and even influencing the canteen menu!
