Year 9s Get Insightful Career Advice at “Speed Careers” Event

CHS South hosted an inspiring “Speed Careers” event for our Year 9 students, providing a unique opportunity to explore various career paths and start thinking about their future goals.

This event was made possible thanks to the generosity of several companies and professionals who volunteered their time to speak with our students, sharing insights into their industries, roles, and career journeys.

During the event, students moved between professionals in short sessions, each offering a glimpse into their day-to-day responsibilities, salary expectations, industry benefits, and the skills needed to succeed. For many Year 9 students, this was their first in-depth conversation about potential career paths, and our guest speakers did an incredible job of leading the discussions and engaging the students.

The event not only broadened students’ perspectives on the professional world but also provided valuable inspiration as they begin to think seriously about their future ambitions.
