We are thrilled to share the success of our recent “Coffee and Read” morning, a delightful event hosted by our students and arranged by our dedicated English department. This heartwarming gathering was designed to bring together generations, offering a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with the Chorlton Good Neighbours community, a group of local elderly residents.
During the morning, students read a selection of their favourite texts to an enthusiastic and engaged audience, sparking conversations and sharing laughter along the way. It was an inspiring experience for all involved, creating cherished memories and meaningful connections across age groups.
To add to the cozy atmosphere, our catering team provided a delightful spread of tea, coffee, and cake, enjoyed by all who attended. Their contributions truly enhanced the event, creating a warm and welcoming space that allowed for genuine conversations and a shared appreciation for literature.
We couldn’t be prouder of our students, who showed great empathy, confidence, and kindness in hosting such a memorable event. It’s moments like these that highlight the strength and unity within our school community and the positive impact our students can make.
Thank you to everyone involved in making this event a success, and we look forward to hosting more opportunities for our students and local community to connect!
