This week, CHS South embraced the vibrant spirit of Diwali with a day filled with cultural activities, treats, and workshops that brought students and staff together to celebrate the Festival of Lights.
The canteen buzzed with excitement during breaktime as students and staff enjoyed a taste of India, with traditional sweets available for all to try. These treats offered a delicious introduction to the festivities, and the cheerful atmosphere was evident as everyone came together to celebrate.
In the library, a henna station showcased the talent of our very own students, who offered intricate designs to their peers and staff. The popularity of the henna stalls led to an exciting announcement: if henna supplies last, students will have more opportunities to get creative designs throughout the week.
A highlight of the day was the Bollywood dance workshops. Students immersed themselves in the rhythms and movements of Bollywood, guided by an experienced guest teacher that brought energy, skill, and insight into the art form. Students took to the floor, joining in sessions that blended fun with cultural appreciation, and filling the school with lively beats and joyful movement.
CHS South would like to extend warm wishes to all celebrating this special occasion.
Happy Diwali!
