On Wednesday 24th September, two talented students from our school took the spotlight at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), presenting to the Secondary PGCE Drama cohort. Our students shared an engaging lecture titled "Why Is Drama Cool at My School?" which highlighted the importance of drama in their school experience.
The students captivated the audience by teaching a Shakespearean lesson to 20 aspiring drama teachers, using creative and interactive techniques to demonstrate their passion. The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with one future educator stating, "So engaging! This is why I want to be a drama teacher."
The event was a testament to the success of our school's drama program, showing how it encourages creativity, confidence, and a love for the arts.
During the week of September 16th, our school welcomed a group of drama students from Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) as part of a two-day carousel program. This visit offered the MMU students an opportunity to immerse themselves in our drama lessons, gaining valuable experience of teaching in a school setting.
Throughout their time with us, the MMU students observed dynamic teaching approaches and interacted with both students and staff. They left with positive feedback, praising the innovative techniques and collaborative spirit of our drama program.
This exchange not only enriched the visitors’ learning but also highlighted the strong sense of community and creativity within our school.
