Teacher of MFL - Emily Pettet
Born and educated in South London, I discovered a passion for languages at a young age. I moved north to study languages at university and continued my studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, where I was lucky enough to follow my other great passion, violin performance. I went on to work professionally with orchestras, including the BBC Philharmonic, and music remains an important part of my life. I discovered my love of teaching through teaching music to individuals and small groups. During this time, I continued to extend my language skills and was excited to share this passion for languages by training as a teacher. I love travelling and exploring other cultures and, during my teaching career, I have been lucky enough to ignite a curiosity and enthusiasm for other cultures and languages in young people. I feel incredibly priveleged to be a part of the CHS South family and to be involved with the exciting opportunities a brand new school affords. I can't wait to be part of the CHS South journey in delivering the best education to the young people of South Manchester and I'm excited to see where the journey takes us!
